Yoga & Fitness Fest At DelVal To Kick Off Pine2Pink Fundraising

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Delaware Valley University is set to host a Yoga and Fitness Fest on Saturday to raise money to support local cancer patients.

The Pine2Pink Foundation, a Doylestown-based nonprofit dedicated to helping women with breast cancer, has planned five events over the next month for its “fundraising season.” The slate of events will kick off at 10 a.m. Saturday at Delaware Valley University with the Yoga and Fitness Fest.

The event will feature 10 Bucks County yoga studios and fitness centers leading 50-minute classes. Guests can attend a single class for a $25 donation to Pine2Pink, while $45 VIP tickets are also being offered. VIP tickets include one class and a Pine2Pink T-shirt.

Yoga and Fitness Fest Schedule

  • 10 a.m. – barre3 Doylestown; Ashtanga Flow with Sun Dog Yoga
  • 11 a.m. – Bucks Adventure Boot Camp; Hatha/Vinyasa with Shine Yoga
  • 12:30 p.m. – Training For Warriors (TFW) Doylestown; Family Partner Yoga Fun! with The Yoga Gnome & Yogamazia
  • 1:30 p.m. – Club Pilates; Slo Flo Yoga with Meet Me In Down Dog
  • 2:30 p.m. – Koru Real Wellness; Yoga For All with Dragonfly Yoga

The Pine2Pink Foundation’s monthlong fundraising push will also include a launch event and “luminary stroll” Sept. 29 at Fonthill Castle; a Conga Line Car Parade on Oct. 2 to honor cancer survivors and residents in treatment; the Pine2Pink Masquerade Gala on Oct. 16 at The Mercantile at Doylestown; and the Night of the Living Deadlift on Oct. 29 at Training for Warriors Doylestown.

Bucks Co. Elementary School Earns U.S. Blue Ribbon Honor

The Pine2Pink Foundation was established in 2018 to raise money from local communities to support breast cancer patients. Over the past three years, it has started and funded 10 programs to support patients, including food delivery, comfort bags and transportation for treatment.

The foundation is set to donate a portion of the money it raises over the next month to the Corrine Sikora Wellness and Support Center in Buckingham Township.

Pine2Pink recently helped launch the center for Bucks County residents with cancer. It offers free services to patients, including holistic and integrative services, nutrition classes, support groups, book clubs, acupuncture, and yoga and fitness classes.

“As a 100 percent donation-based facility for cancer patients across Bucks County, getting support from Pine2Pink and the community at large is essential to our success and provides us with the means we need to offer the best and most comprehensive slate of services to the cancer community across Bucks County who rely on us,” the center’s director, Kristina Fenimore, said in a news release.
