Fit Together 5210: The Northwest Corner Healthy Living Initiative celebrates June 26 “Rock the Sue Grossman Greenway, A Family Fitness Scavenger Hunt.”
Participants will look for special painted rocks hidden along the greenway and will win chances to raffle prizes for each of the rocks found and marked on a playing card. This event will also highlight some of the fitness equipment located along the route.
Fit Together works to connect the community with simple options for active living and healthy eating.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon; Parking is at RBC Aircraft Products, Inc., 2788 Winsted Road, and check in at the store near the entrance.
Players can start and finish at their disposal and can find up to nine different tracks to win raffles. The draw will take place when the event ends at noon.
The event will be held in rain or shine and participants will be required to dress for the weather, including comfortable walking shoes. Participants who demonstrate a commitment to health by bringing their own bottle of water will receive an additional raffle ticket upon arrival. Sue Grossman Greenway is wheelchair and stroller accessible and the event is free and open to all.
