With so many weight loss programmes and diets out there, it can be difficult to find the one that works for you. But, Lucy Evans, 31, from Leeds turned to WW after getting a job there to help her reach her goal – which she hit in May this year. At five foot six inches, Lucy’s starting weight was 15st 8lb but since following the plan, she has shed nearly six stone.
“This was even affirmed by some friends around me who, very innocently, used to say to me ‘don’t lose too much weight, you weren’t born to be small,’” she recalled.
In 2019, Lucy went through a couple of major life changes which meant she needed to find a new job – and she got an interview with WW.
“During my onboarding to WW, I attended loads of WW Workshops across the UK to really understand the brand, who we are and the impact we have on members,” Lucy said.
“On the Monday Morning of Week three at WW, I picked a fairly local workshop at Shipley Library in West Yorkshire.
“I cook everything from scratch, which has really helped me to be successful as I know all the ingredients going into my meals,” Lucy added.
“I make food swaps for zero point foods, such as I have butterbean mash instead of mashed potato, or I opt for roast parsnips instead of roast potatoes or Butternut Squash chips instead of oven chips.
“I don’t deny myself anything, and my partner and I have a roast every Sunday – plus I allow myself a drink.”
Lucy has gone from a size 16/18 to a size 8/10.
