The acclaimed Mexican food truck spices San Antonio with a new restaurant

A popular Mexican food truck concept prized in San Antonio for breakfast tacos, chilaquiles, and cheetah tacos with cheese is becoming a new permanent home.

Authenticity Naco Mexican Eatery, an award-winning concept of street food in Mexico, started more than three years ago by the team of husbands and wives Francisco Estrada and Lizzeth Martinez, will open a brick restaurant in the development of Los Patios this fall.

The new restaurant, located on the 2015 NE Interstate 410 Loop, will provide diners with plenty of space to stretch out while dampening Mexican breakfast and snacks throughout the day from the expanded Naco menu. The space will include 2,900 square feet for indoor dining, an area for private events, and a spacious 3,000-square-foot courtyard surrounded by natural scenery and offering views of Salado Creek.

The new Naco will serve breakfasts, lunches, early dinners and brunch on weekends and food truck operations will continue.

While at the brick location there will be a menu with all the favorites of food truck fans (tacos, cakes, keto and vegetable friendly dishes, homemade sauces and, oh yeah, some freshly made chilaquiles), the Naco menu will also have some new offers.

In addition, all-day chilaquiles are included with new sauce options, such as an intriguing almond mole; a selection of egg Benedicts for breakfast made with traditional Mexican toppings such as hitlacoche and Naco branch; Mexican-inspired croissants with options like guava and cheese; and all-natural fresh water.

“We are blessed to be in a wonderful city, surrounded by the most amazing people who have fallen in love with our Mexican cuisine that includes our own family flavors,” Estrada says. “We can’t wait to be able to show even more with our full service restaurant space.”
