This is a low carb diet that works by putting the body in a state of ketosis and aiding the loss of fat. Some varieties of a keto diet are standard ketogenic diet, targeted ketogenic diet, cyclical ketogenic diet, and high protein ketogenic diet. Despite the benefits, there are some risks associated with this diet. The adverse effects of a keto diet are also known as keto flu. However, with expert supervision and management, these shortcomings can be overcome.
